Trail description

The Teufelsstieg climbs from Bad Harzburg past the Molkenhaus and the Eckertalsperre to the Scharfenstein and over the Brocken summit (1141 m), then drops through the Eckerloch to Schierke and down the Elend valley to Elend. A long, hard day with about 1000 m of ascent; it is signed as two stages of about 13 km, split at the Brocken.
