Trail description

A 3.2 km loop at Spiegelau in the Bavarian Forest through the Steinklamm, a narrow gorge up to 100 m deep cut by the Große Ohe at the end of the last ice age, with smoothed rock, runnels and potholes up to 2 m deep. The path through the gorge was opened in 2005 on the initiative of local volunteers; it needs good shoes and sure footing and is not suitable for prams, bikes or wheelchairs. Boards along the way explain the gorge.
