Trail description

A 5.8 km climb of about 810 m from the valley station of the Schauinsland cable car at Horben through the Black Forest to the summit of the Schauinsland at 1,284 m, Freiburg's local mountain. The lookout tower on the top looks over the Rhine plain to the Vosges and, on clear days, the Alps. The cable car offers a way down.
