Trail description
A 1.9 km walk from the car park into the Rotes Moor in the Hessian Rhön, at 50 ha the largest raised bog in Hessen and the second largest in the Rhön, to the viewpoint over the bog. Peat was cut here for 175 years until 1984; restoration began in 1979 and was nearly complete in 2025 with the rewetting of the Legmoor.
