Trail description
A 1.6 km walk from the Rieslochfälle car park near Bodenmais into the Riesloch, a gorge in the Bavarian Forest where three mountain streams join to form the Riesbach, to the Untere and Obere Wasserstube falls where the streams leap the step at the eastern end of the gorge. Over 1.6 km the gorge drops from 920 to 780 m through near-natural old mountain forest with ice-age relict plants and animals; the falls are at their best after the snowmelt or heavy rain.
