Trail description

A climb from Pfaffendorf to the Pfaffenstein, a table mountain near Königstein in Saxon Switzerland. The Bequemer Aufstieg, laid out as the first public way up in 1879, rounds the west side of the rock through a Bronze Age rampart to the wooded plateau with its mountain inn and a 29 m stone lookout tower from 1904. Paths lead on to the southern tip and the Barbarine, a 43 m sandstone pillar that is the symbol of the Pfaffenstein. Return the same way.
