Trail description

A 9.5 km stage of the Malerweg with about 290 m of climbing from Hohnstein through the Polenz valley, past the Brand viewpoint to Altendorf in Saxon Switzerland. The sandstone gorges and viewpoints inspired the Romantic painters who gave the trail its name. Part of the way uses quiet roads.
