Kahleberg Summit

Trail description

A 3.6 km hike from Altenberg to the Kahleberg (905 m), the highest mountain in the Saxon part of the Eastern Ore Mountains, a wooded porphyry ridge. The summit carries the Kahlebergbaude, reopened in 2023, and the foundations of a survey tower from the Saxon triangulation of the 1860s; the block fields on its north and west sides are protected.
