Hochgrat via the Staufner Haus

Trail description

From the Hochgratbahn valley station above Oberstaufen up a farm track to the Staufner Haus, an Alpine Club hut at 1,634 m, and on to the 1,834 m top of the Hochgrat in the Allgäu Alps. About 11.7 km with some 1,000 m of climbing; the way down takes the Brunnenauschartensteig, about 0.7 km of which is rated as a demanding mountain path.
