Trail description
A 2.6 km climb in the Bavarian Forest National Park from Zwieslerwaldhaus to the summit of the Großer Falkenstein (1,315 m), where the Falkenstein refuge of the Bavarian Forest Club, rebuilt in 2019, is open daily in summer and at weekends in winter. From the summit cross the view reaches west and south to the Großer Arber, the Großer Osser, the town of Zwiesel and the Großer Rachel; the Kleiner Falkenstein, 125 m lower, is another fine viewpoint.
