Erbeskopf Summit

Trail description

A 7.5 km hike from Hilscheid to the Erbeskopf (816 m), the highest mountain of the Hunsrück and of Rhineland-Palatinate and the highest point in Germany west of the Rhine, with an observation tower and the Windklang sculpture on top. Snow lies on the summit for about 80 days a year, while on hot summer days it stays far cooler than the Rhine and Moselle valleys.
