Dreisessel to Dreiländereck

Trail description

A 3.1 km ridge walk in the Bavarian Forest from the Dreisessel (1,333 m), whose granite summit rocks are among Bavaria's most beautiful geotopes and whose mountain inn dates from 1913, along the Hochkamm border path over the Bayerischer Plöckenstein (1,365 m) to the Dreiländereck (1,321 m), where Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic meet. A legend retold by Adalbert Stifter has the kings of Bavaria, Bohemia and Austria meeting on the Dreisessel to settle their borders.
