Trail description

A walk of about 7.5 km from Kelheim across the Danube and through the forest above the south side of the Danube Gorge (Donaudurchbruch) to Weltenburg Abbey, whose brewery is one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. The last part follows the river bank from Weltenburg village to the abbey. Boats run back to Kelheim through the gorge between limestone cliffs.
