Brocken from Schierke via the Eckerloch

Trail description

A 6.4 km climb of about 530 m from Schierke by the Eckerlochstieg to the Brocken (1,141 m), the highest point of the Harz. About half of the line uses the Brockenstraße, which is closed to private traffic, where the rocky Eckerlochstieg runs beside or across it; the narrow-gauge Brocken railway can take you back down.
