Trail description
A 2.9 km walk from Hohnstein along the Brandstraße to the Brand, a sandstone plateau 177 m above the Polenz valley whose view is one of the most famous in Saxon Switzerland, reaching east, south and west across much of the region to the Eastern Ore Mountains. The viewpoint lay on the classic route of the Malerweg, and the historic Brand-Baude now houses an inn, a hikers' hostel and an information point of the Saxon Switzerland National Park.
