A 9.2 km climb of about 1,220 m from the pilgrimage church of Maria Gern up the Untersberg to the Berchtesgadener Hochthron at 1,972 m, with the Stöhrhaus hut just below. The path is long and steep, with secured rocky sections near the top. The views reach over the Berchtesgaden Alps and Salzburg.
