Annaturm Loop from Wennigser Mark

Trail description

A 10 km loop on the Gaußstein & Annaturm route from the car park in Wennigser Mark up to the Annaturm on the Bröhn (405 m), the highest point of the Deister. The present tower, the sixth on the summit, was built in 1982 as a 28 m concrete lookout and radio tower with a forest inn beside it, and it is open Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. Carl Friedrich Gauß set up a survey point here in 1833 and 1834 for his land survey, recalled by the Gaußstein on the inn's terrace.
