Trail description
A 1.2 km walk near Oppenau from the waterfalls car park up beside the Allerheiligen falls, the largest natural waterfalls of the northern Black Forest, where the Grindenbach drops 66 m over seven steps through a steep porphyry gorge, to the ruins of Allerheiligen monastery. The forestry office first built a path through the gorge in 1840; since 1964 it has been a staircase of sandstone. A legends trail around the monastery and the falls tells the old stories of the place.
