Trail description

Gergeti - ascent to the glacier. A continuation of the classic trail from Gergeti Trinity Church upwards via the Sabertse Pass to the moraine at the foot of the Gergeti Glacier under Kazbek. The path climbs through grassy and rocky slopes, approximately 7.3 km one way. Beyond that, the mountaineering route begins across the ice towards the weather station.
