Trail description
The loop starts at the car park by the Plage de la Garoupe and follows the Sentier de Tirepoil, the coastal path at the southern end of the Cap d'Antibes, along the rocky shore to the Villa Eilenroc, returning by quiet roads; the tip of the cape itself is private land and is not reached. The path has steps on its steeper sections and is closed in bad weather. Its name is said to come from the constant sea wind that ruffles walkers' hair. The Villa Eilenroc, completed in 1867 for the Dutchman Hugh Hope Loudon and named with an anagram of his wife Cornélie's name, was bequeathed to the town in 1982. The loop is about 4.7 km, with some 55 m of climbing.
