Plomb du Cantal

Trail description

A 4 km walk with about 300 m of climbing over the Col de la Tombe du Père and past the Puy Brunet to the summit of the Plomb du Cantal, 1,855 m. It is the highest summit of the Cantal mountains and the second highest in the Massif Central after the Puy de Sancy. The basanite summit is a remnant of a lava lake from the last volcanic activity of the Cantal.
