Trail description

A steep 2.7 km climb of about 440 m to the summit of the Pic Saint-Loup, 658 m, where a chapel stands, about 20 km north of Montpellier. The limestone ridge stretches for 6 km between Cazevieille and Saint-Mathieu-de-Treviers and can be seen from much of the Herault, even from the sea. With the Montagne de l'Hortus facing it to the north, it forms a protected natural site home to several birds of prey.
