Trail description

A climb from Chamonix on the Chemin du Montenvers through forest to Montenvers at about 1,910 m, the viewpoint over the Mer de Glace at the top station of the rack railway. About 11.3 km out and back with some 911 m of climbing; the train can be used to come down.
