Mont Aigoual depuis L'Espérou

Trail description

A 6.6 km walk with about 380 m of climbing from L'Espérou through beech and pine woods to the summit of Mont Aigoual at 1,565 m, between the Cévennes and the Causses. The weather observatory on the top is the last mountain weather station staffed in France, and the views reach the Mediterranean and the Alps on clear days. Part of the route uses quiet roads.
