Trail description
The walk starts at the hamlet of Le Vivier in Talloires and follows the Chemin Rural de Talloires à Vérel, then a path built into the cliffside, to the foot of the Cascade d'Angon. The cliff path has a handrail and a short tunnel, and its last metres to the foot of the falls are graded T3; the Lake Annecy tourist office also warns that the approach to the falls is slippery in all weather. Fed by water running off the Dents de Lanfon and the Tournette massif, the highest fall drops about 65 m over a limestone barrier and has carved the ravine above Angon. The walk is about 1.5 km one way, with some 195 m of climbing.
