Trail description

The walk starts at the Luminy – PN des Calanques bus stop at the end of the B1 line and follows the shaded DFCI fire track through the Luminy pinewood to the Col de Sugiton, then descends the Vallon de Sugiton on paths and steps to the cove. Luminy and Sugiton once formed a single forestry and farming estate, and the ruins of a sheepfold remain at the col; below, the calanque is in fact two small, steep-sided inlets, each with a tiny beach, beside the islet of Le Torpilleur. In high summer, entry to the cove requires a free booking with the Parc national, and land access closes on red fire-risk days. It is about 3.4 km one way; from the col the path drops some 195 m to the sea, and the Parc advises allowing at least an hour for the steep climb back to Luminy.
