Trail description
A 4.1 km climb of about 790 m from Tre-le-Champ, just below the Col des Montets at the head of the Chamonix valley, to the Aiguillette des Posettes, 2,201 m. The Col des Montets, at 1,461 m, links the Chamonix valley with Vallorcine and the Swiss Trient valley, and was already used by the Romans. From the nearby Col des Posettes, paths lead on to the Col de Balme on the Swiss border, a pass on the Tour du Mont Blanc.
