Trail description

A 4.8 km marked loop (about 1.5 hours) on the Pulkkilanharju esker in Päijänne National Park, starting from the rest area beside the Karisalmi bridge and passing under the bridge onto the ridge. The trail runs through heath forest with esker and lake scenery, and nature trail boards explain how the ridge was formed. There is one steeper descent by stairs from the ridge to the shore, duckboards on wet sections and a few forest road crossings.
