Juutuan Polku

Trail description

A 6.4 km loop (2 to 4 hours) along the Juutuanjoki river at Inari, starting from the Jäniskoski car park on the Inari to Kittilä road 955 about 2.5 km from Inari village. It crosses the Jäniskoski suspension bridge, follows old pine forest on the north bank to the Siida Sámi museum and returns via Inari village and the Akseli lean-to. Story boards along the way are in Finnish, English and Inari Sámi, and the rapids at Jäniskoski stay open even in winter.
