Trail description
Short out-and-back walk from the Río San Juan - Cabrera road down the track to Playa Caletón, a small cove on the eastern edge of Río San Juan on the Dominican north coast. The beach faces a sheltered inlet, so the water stays calm and clear even when the Atlantic is rough, which makes it good for swimming and snorkelling. White sand is framed by high rocks on both sides. The beach is public and free, and a beachside café grills fresh fish.
