Pico Duarte is the highest peak in the Caribbean, standing at 3098 meters. The classic route starts from La Cienaga in Manabao and climbs through pine forests to the island's summit. It is a demanding multi-day trek that rewards hikers with sunrises over the Cordillera Central.
