Trail description

Loma Quita Espuela is the largest humid forest reserve in the northeast, near San Francisco de Macoris. The trail climbs through cocoa plantations and jungle to a mist-shrouded summit. Its name recalls the steepness of the ascent, which was enough to strip the spurs from riders.
