Horvatove Stube

Trail description

A climb up the northern side of Medvednica from the spa town of Stubicke Toplice to Sljeme by trail 39, which passes Horvat's stairs, the 500 stone steps built into a karst slope near the Medvednica cave. The path rises through beech forest to the stairs, then on to the summit ridge of Zagreb's mountain. A long, steady ascent on the quieter north face.
