Trail description

The Swedish Trail (Sendero Sueco) leaves the Cabuya ranger station of Cabo Blanco, Costa Rica's first protected reserve (1963), and crosses regrown evergreen forest to Playa Cabo Blanco, 3.2 km one way with 178 m of climbing. SINAC lists the official trail at 4.2 km, opens the reserve Wednesday to Sunday and sets an 11 am cutoff for starting toward the beach. Visit Costa Rica says reservations are required.
