Trail description
This 2.1 km walk with 57 m of climbing links the Las Coladas and El Ceibo trails in Arenal Volcano National Park. Las Coladas crosses low regrowth to the 1992 lava flow, a river of solidified rock about 300 m wide with views of the cone and Lake Arenal, while El Ceibo passes secondary forest and a giant ceiba tree over 400 years old. Climbing the volcanic cone is prohibited.
