Trail description

The ascent to the sacred lagoon where, according to Muisca mythology, humanity was born. The trail climbs from the Carrizal visitor center through oak forests and paramo up to the lagoon at 3650 meters. The flagship hike of the Iguaque sanctuary near Villa de Leyva.
