Alto del Aguacate Tierradentro

Trail description

This trail starts from San Andrés de Pisimbalá, located within the Tierradentro National Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site declared in 1995. Less than a kilometer away, it passes by Alto de San Andrés, one of the park's underground tomb complexes or hypogea. From there, the path climbs along the ridge to Alto del Aguacate, one of the five archaeological zones, situated on a difficult-to-access edge. The area's topography is steep and preserves patches of primary vegetation.
