Meili Yubeng to the Ice Lake

Trail description

From Upper Yubeng village beneath the Meili Snow Mountains a forest path climbs past the old base camp of the 1991 Kawagarbo expedition to the Ice Lake, a glacial pool at about 3,900 m below the hanging glaciers of the range. The climb is steep and the air thin, so take it slowly. Allow six to seven hours return.
