Trail description
A 1.1 km climb of about 140 m from the Guanyutai bus stop up more than a thousand wooden steps to the Guanyu Pavilion, the Fish Viewing Pavilion, at about 2,030 m above the long blue Kanas Lake in the Altai mountains of Xinjiang. From the top the lake winds north towards the border peaks of Mongolia and Russia. The Kanas scenic area charges an entrance fee and runs the buses.
