Trail description

A 7.4 km climb of about 1,390 m from Hongshuikou village in Mentougou up through forest and over open alpine meadow to the 2,303 m summit of Dongling Mountain, the highest point of Beijing. The upper slopes are grassland with views far into Hebei. Weather on the top changes quickly, and the scenic area charges an entrance fee.
