Trail description
A 0.7 km walk on the Sendero de La Leona between Ruta 203 and the Salto de la Leona, a waterfall on the Fuy River in the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve near Puerto Fuy. The reserve runs it as a short, easy self-guided path from its Portal La Leona, open all year, through temperate rainforest to the clear waterfall. Huilo Huilo is a private protected area founded in 2000 in the commune of Panguipulli, with forest of tepa, olivillo, coigüe and raulí. The Fuy drains Lake Pirihueico and flows south past Neltume, where it joins the Neltume River to form Lake Panguipulli.
