Trail description

The walk starts on the Costanera del Mar beside the Piedra de la Iglesia in Constitución and heads northeast along the coast road past Playa Los Gringos, then follows a footpath east to Avenida Enrique Mac Iver. The Piedra de la Iglesia is a domed rock about 50 m high whose interior the sea has hollowed into caves, which can be visited at low tide. It is part of the Rocas de Constitución, a 108.4-hectare nature sanctuary declared in 2007, whose rocks are remnants of an old sea cliff broken up by the ocean and serve as nesting sites for gulls, cormorants and pelicans. The walk is about 1.8 km one way and nearly level.
