Trail description
The loop starts at the main entrance of Parque Saval on Isla Teja in Valdivia, beside the tourist information office, and follows the park roads and a forest path, with a short spur to the Laguna Los Lotos; it does not circle the lagoon, whose footways are mapped as private. The municipality describes Saval as Valdivia's most emblematic urban park, known for its wide meadows and ornamental lagoons, above all the lotus lagoon, and charges a small entry fee. The park is named after Saval, Valdivia's agricultural society, which acquired the grounds in 1944, and its fairground hosts many of the city's fairs. The loop is about 1.9 km, with some 40 m of climbing.
