Parque Oncol

Trail description

A 2.4 km climb of about 170 m through Parque Oncol, a private forest reserve 28 km north-west of Valdivia. The reserve covers more than 2,500 ha of Valdivian forest, most of it on Cerro Oncol, the highest point of the Coastal Range in Valdivia Province. Its forests are mainly canelo, ulmo, olivillo, mañío, tepa and tepú, with rare plants such as the tupa rosada and the latúe, and a wide variety of ferns and mosses.
