Trail description
The walk starts at the Playa La Herradura car park at the Guayacán end of the bay and follows the beach footways, Avenida La Marina and Avenida Costanera around the bay to Punta Herradura. La Herradura, 'the horseshoe', is a small semicircular bay just southwest of Coquimbo's port bay, opening to the northwest, with about 2 km of fine white-sand beaches. HMS Beagle under Robert FitzRoy called in the bay in 1835. The walk is about 4.7 km one way, with some 95 m of climbing.
