Trail description
A 1.4 km coastal path at the Cuevas de Anzota, about 10 km south of Arica, where stairs and walkways lead along cliffs and sea caves carved by the waves, with only about 20 m of climbing. The caves have sheltered coastal peoples for more than 9,000 years, including the Chinchorro culture known for its mummies. About 20 species of seabirds and shorebirds, such as boobies and cormorants, can be seen, and sea lions rest on the rocks; entry is free.
