Trail description

Cerro Chacarillas, also called Tupahue, is a 796 m hill in Santiago and the third highest point of the city after Renca and San Cristóbal. It is part of the Parque Metropolitano, one of the largest urban parks in the world, together with San Cristóbal, La Pirámide and Los Gemelos. This walk follows the Paseo Metropolitano from the Japanese garden side and then the Atacameño footpath up to the summit area. The hill gives an almost 360 degree view over the city.
