Trail description
The walk starts at the Senda de Las Cascadas car park inland from the village of Las Cascadas, on the east shore of Lake Llanquihue at the foot of Volcán Osorno, and climbs the forest path along the Río Blanco, crossing it on footbridges, to the waterfall. The fall, a 50 m drop of the Río Blanco known locally as La Cascada, is the main sight of Las Cascadas, a village in the commune of Puerto Octay about 20 km north of Ensenada. The walk is about 1.1 km one way, with some 125 m of climbing.
