Trail description

Alto del Naranjo is a plateau of 1,890 m in the Sierra de Ramón, the Andean foothills east of Santiago, northwest of Cerro Provincia. This route uses one of its two most popular ascents, from Parque Puente Ñilhue on the Mapocho river, on the Vallecito and Alto El Naranjo trails. Being so close to the capital it can be climbed all year round. There is no water on the way, so carrying plenty is essential.
