Cova de Paul to Ribeira do Paul

Trail description

A trail from the Cova crater on Santo Antão down the lush Ribeira do Paúl valley to the sea. From the crater rim a cobbled mule path zigzags steeply into the green canyon past terraces of sugarcane and banana, then the valley road leads through the villages to the coast at Pombas. About 11.7 km one way, almost all downhill.
